Where do I pick up my race number, timing chip, and swag?
Packet Pickup will be at Moss Bay Hall 111Central Way, Kirkland WA 98033 and Saturday March 8th from 11AM – 5PM and Friday March 14th from noon – 5PM
Where does the event take place?
The event starts and finishes Marina Park. 25 Lake Shore Plaza Kirkland WA 98033
What time does the event start?
The 5K Kirkland Shamrock run will begin at 9:00 am and the Little Leprechaun Run will start at 10:00 AM
Where should I park?
Street parking will be available – please see the Kirkland Parking Map by clicking here
Are dogs allowed? How about strollers?
Pets are not allowed on course because of insurance reasons. Thank you for your understanding. As for strollers, yes! Please be aware of your fellow participants if they need to pass or you are passing them–always allow for enough space for you and the stroller.
What forms of payment are available onsite?
Cash, check or credit cards will be accepted onsite at the day-of-event. Discount codes will only be valid during online registration.
Will there be a gear check onsite at the event?
Yes. It will be located in the a large box truck in the park. You must provide your own bag. You can either put a tag on your bag prior to arrival with your bib number on it or we will provide you with a tag and pen at Gear Check to do so.
Will there be event specific bathrooms?
Yes. The event will rent Honey Buckets that will be onsite near the start and finish line. There are a few park restrooms also available.
How/where should I wear my bib number?
All bib numbers must be worn on the front of your body. Safety pins will be available at the two-day packet pickup as well as near the day-of-race registration and packet pickup area.
Where is the onsite medical?
Yes, we will have a medical tent near the finish line.
Will there be water stations on the course?
There will be a water station at the finish line. To limit our earth footprint for this shorter race we will not have water and cups on the race course. Please bring your own container and you can fill it at the start line.
Are walkers allowed?
Yes. Walkers are allowed in the event. The course will close and tear down will begin at 10:30am.
Where and when will the awards ceremony take place? Who receives awards?
The awards ceremony will take place at Moss Bay Hall, adjacent to the start finish line (111 Central Way). The top 3 male and female finishers will be presented their awards. We will also announce the first place finisher for each age group category.
Are the streets completely closed for the event?
At some points on the course, the road in the direction of the run will be completely closed. Vehicle traffic will be allowed in the other direction. Further into the route roads may be open for vehicles in both directions with the event routes coned on the side of the road.
Will the bad weather can the event?
Living in the Pacific Northwest we run in the rain, the wind and occasionally snow. However, we do have a plan in place to evaluate if weather becomes a safety issue. The City of Kirkland police will review the course routes on the morning of the event (or earlier) and decide on if the event should take place or not and will advise you through email, web posting and social media.
Unable to Race
If you cannot participate in this year’s race for whatever reason, we can offer you a 50% coupon code for next year’s race Requests for coupon codes must be made one week (7 days) prior to the race date. You are not obligated in any way to use the coupon code, but to obtain it, the request must be made in time. Please e-mail info@cascadestride.com for your code. There are no cash refunds.
Transferring Your Bib
Transferring your entry to another person (i.e. a bib swap) is not available. This is for insurance safety reasons
Wait List
If the race sells out, a limited wait list will be made available.
Cancelled Race
In the event of extreme weather, acts of terrorism, acts of God, governmental ban or other factors outside the control of the race management, the race management reserves the right to cancel the race at any moment leading up to the race, including during the race. All decisions will be made in concert with local officials, and will be based on safety first and foremost.
Courses and/or race segments will be altered as agreed to between the management and local officials. Since the majority of event costs (entry forms, advertising, etc.) occur prior to the race, entry fees will not be refunded.
